To ensure local open space access for responsible use within San Francisco and San Mateo Counties.
As our region continues to grow and develop, SFPOSC is committed to the preservation and accessibility of open spaces on our Northern Peninsula for responsible use.
We promote education and exploration in our own backyard thus lessening our carbon footprint in traveling to other areas for outdoor activity. We realize today's busy life style must include local access to wide open spaces for people to re-create and replenish their spirits and their bodies.
Our local history is alive and needs to be accessible to all people through exploration.
Our current focus includes:
Opening the 23,000 public acres of the San Francisco Watershed to responible public use
Preserving the eastern and northern slopes of untouched land on Sign Hill in South San Francisco
Preserving the balance of San Bruno Mountain
